BIOGRAPHY

Herménégilde Nzana is Legal Expert at RightsEmpower Law Firm & Consultancy. With more than 20 years of experience as a Lawyer, he intensively practices in environment and natural resources sectors. Herménégilde Nzana is a Legal Expert in mines, energy, nature conservation, land and hydrocarbons. He advises a wide range of clients on the legal and regulatory requirements related to application and renewal process for approval, licensing, and operating permits.

He advises companies on environmental and social obligations, notably the development of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Project Management Plan (PMP), and Mitigation and Rehabilitation Plan (MRP). He advises and assists clients in the establishment and presentation of lists of movable property and mining equipment benefiting from the privileged regime before the competent national authorities.

Herménégilde Nzana also advises oil companies on the legal requirements for application and obtention of licenses, drafting of production sharing contracts or block service contracts in the DRC. He authored several publications on environmental law.
