Biography

Gilbert Songe is an IT Consultant at RightsEmpower Law Firm. He has a multidisciplinary background combining information technology, data management, and agricultural sciences. 

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Network Science and Cybersecurity from the International Business, Science and Technology University (ISBAT) in Uganda, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering and Data Management from Aptech Uganda. He also completed a program in Agricultural Techniques at Collège Boréal in Ontario, Canada, further expanding his expertise into modern agricultural production systems. 

In the field of information technology, Gilbert has experience in computer systems and network administration, software and website development, database management, cybersecurity, IT maintenance, and data collection and analysis. He is also familiar with various data processing and analysis tools and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including ArcGIS, Google Earth, and Google Maps. 

His agricultural background has enabled him to develop practical skills in crop production, horticulture, greenhouse production, irrigation and fertigation, plant propagation, and crop monitoring. He has a particular interest in integrating digital technologies into agriculture, including data collection and analysis, crop monitoring, controlled-environment agriculture, and technologies aimed at improving the efficiency and productivity of agricultural production systems. 

His combined expertise enables him to approach issues related to digital technologies, information management, and agriculture from a multidisciplinary perspective.
